1. Annual MLK Day Parade. Monday, Jan. 15, 11:30 a.m. Approximately fifty units will travel from Broad to Front Street Plaza, onto Olive towards Stateline, to 4th Street, concluding back at the Miller County Courthouse.

2. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration

3. Get Healthy in 2018 with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
Begins Monday, Jan. 15. Group exercise class at The Sportsplex by Healthcare Express, full body workout. Try it out as a guest for $10 per day. Mondays at 8:15 a.m. through January 29, 2018. Learn more.

5. Have More Fun: Jazz Band at Pop's Place
Thursday, Jan. 18, 7-9 p.m. Enjoy jazz performed by premier Texarkana USA musicians every third Thursday at Pop's Place.

6. Poker! The Game that built the Ace of Clubs House. 
Saturday, Jan. 20. Legend and folklore have it that this unique home was built from the winnings of a poker game - with the Ace of Clubs being in the winning hand. Join us for a night of snacks, drinks and a few hands of poker. Prizes. $15 per person. TMS Members receive a $5 discount using their membership. 7. Do Something of Merit in 2018: Indian Lore Workshop
Saturday, Jan. 20 on the Ace of Clubs House lawn. Designed to meet requirements for Boy Scout Merit Patch. Learn about the Caddo – The Native American Culture from our area from the TMS extensive collection of Caddo artifacts. Make a model of a Caddo Beehive Hut. 8. Share with others.
Pare down and share your bounty. Create order in your life and feel great doing it. Drop your donations to Salvation Army, Goodwill, or Mary’s Closet at downtown First Methodist Church.

9. Plan ahead: 2018 Bridal Fair
Saturday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Hosted by TownSquare Media at the Texarkana TX Convention Center. Texarkana’s premier bridal event for brides-to-be, wedding professionals and bridal fashion experts. Gather info, compare prices and services, register for prizes, see the latest fashions, get great new ideas and just have fun! Every bride-to-be gets a free Gift Bag and a chance to win the $2,000 Grand Prize. Kids 12 and under free. Buy tickets.

10. Dixie Baseball Texarkana, TX Registration Kickoff
Saturday, Jan. 20, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Spring 2018 player and coach registration will kick off at Academy Sports. Registration $65.00 per player. Bring a copy of the registrant’s birth certificate.
