Things to do in Texarkana Oct. 30-Nov. 5, 2017
1. Free Halloween fun for KIDS on Tuesday, Oct. 31!
- Buchanan First Baptist Church Trunk-r-Treat. 6-8 p.m. Enjoy a night filled with candy, popcorn, and sno-cones. Church cafe will be selling chili dogs, chips, and drinks.
- Trunk or Treat & Chili Cook-Off. 6 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Decorate your car trunk and come out to give the youth a trick-or-treat alternative. Also, enter your best chili recipe for the chili cook-off!
- Texas A&M University-Texarkana Trunk-N-Treat. 6-8 p.m. in the Central Plant parking lot. Bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, candy and and non-food items distributed by A&M-Texarkana departments, student organizations, faculty and staff.
- Trunk or Treat + Kids & Pets Costume Contest at Texarkana Harley-Davidson. 4-8 p.m. Dress up the kids and pets for a costume contest! Bring your bikes and load them up with candy for all of the kiddos.
- Trunk-OR-Treat at Healthcare Express. 6-8:30 p.m. at the 7th Street location. Games, prizes, candy, hot dogs, and more!
- 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at Coleman’s Bar & Grill. 6-8 p.m. Safe trick or treating for kids. Refreshments for kids until they run out.
- Trunk or Treat at Liberty-Eylau Baptist Church. 6-7:30 p.m. For kids through the 6th grade. 20-25 trunks for candy and fun costumes—nothing scary, please!
- Trunk or Treat at Mt. Grove Full Gospel Baptist Church. 6:30-9 p.m. Decorate your trunks and have a good time with food, fun, and games.
- Fall Festival at First Baptist Nash. 6-8 p.m. Food, game, door prizes, and lots of family fun.
- Fall Festival at Trinity Baptist Church. 6-8 p.m. Costumes welcome; held in gym if it rains.
2. Halloween Fun for Grownups on Oct. 31
- Moonlight & Movies: Rocky Horror Picture Show. 6:30-11:30 p.m. Ace of Clubs House. Gather on the lawn for the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show. First showing starts at sundown (7:15) and second showing starts at midnight. Gates open at 6:30. TMS members free; others $5. BYOB—there will be snacks and sodas for sale, but you can bring your own!
- Haunted Texarkana Ghost Walk. Tour begins at 9 p.m. Celebrate Halloween with a ghost tour of Downtown Texarkana! Meet at 202 E. Broad St. Tickets are $15; must be 10+ to attend.
3. TRAHC presents Pinkalicious, The Musical. Saturday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Perot Theatre. Based on the popular children’s book. In addition to the show, a total of 200 VIP Tea Tickets are available of the Pinkalicious Tea Party after each show for ticket holders. This pink-filled party is sponsored by Women for the Arts.
4. Red Kettle and Angel Tree Kickoff. Friday, Nov. 3, 10-11 a.m. The Salvation Army Texarkana Corps will kick off the 2017 Christmas season with the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary decorating and placing “Angels” on the Christmas tree at Central Mall.
5. Blues, Booze, & Shoes: A Gatsby Extravaganza. Saturday, Nov. 4, 6:30-9:30 p.m. Silvermoon on Broad. Join the Texarkana Museums System as they raise funds and awareness for the Ace of Clubs House with a 1920s themed Gatsby Extravaganza. Tickets.
6. Joseph Raymond Fine ART Show.Thursday, Nov. 2, 5-9 p.m. Five artists, four hours, one night. Featuring art by Tyler Arnold, Joseph Raymond, Cindy Holmes, Jared Horton, and James Hayes. At the Omega Building in Downtown Texarkana.

8. Indoor Yard Sale - Townsquare Media. Nov. 4-5, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Four States Fair Entertainment Center. $2 per person. For booth space rental, contact Townsquare Media at 870-772-3771. Climate controlled!
9. Get Outside. Take the family out on our city trails in Arkansas and Texas and enjoy the cool weather—and the color! Check out the new walking/bike lanes along Cowhorn Creek.
